
One of the great challenges of the publishing industry in the twenty-first century is that it is overwhelmingly dominated by white males. One small part of the necessary corrective measures is for all of us to buy and read more books by authors who are not white males.
Toward this end, here is a list of ten up and coming women writers, whose work you should be intimately familiar with. These women are not necessarily young and many of them are well-established as writers, but by any reasonable estimation, they all still have many years of writing ahead of them.
