In his famous poem, “The Wasteland,” T.S. Eliot called April “the cruelest month.” Current events seem to support his conclusion. But in the United States, April is also National Poetry Month, and we think poetry is a lovely way to soften the cruelty, find joy, and make room for deep breaths.
