The beloved poet, Luci Shaw, passed away earlier this week at the age of 96. In memory, we are updating and expanding this post with some of our favorite Luci Shaw poems , originally published in 2018.
An Incremental Life
Chris (ERB Founding Editor) first met Luci at The Festival of Faith & Writing in 2010. Over the years, she was a friend and supporter of The Englewood Review. She was always very generous with her poetry, and of any poet, likely had the most poems published in our now-defunct print magazine.
She was quite prolific over the course of her career! Her dozen+ poetry collections include Accompanied by Angels: Poems of the Incarnation, Scape, The Generosity, and Reversing Entropy. Her nonfiction titles include Adventure of Ascent: Field Notes from a Lifelong Journey, and she also published a children’s picture book called The “O” in Hope: A Poem of Wonder with illustrator Ned Bustard.
