Englewood Press is delighted to offer the following zines created by Katie Selby, Associate Editor of The Englewood Review of Books. Find her on Instagram @IndyMender
Lament (2024)
We walk on the same path as fellow followers of Jesus, who for centuries have been trying to live faithfully in-between death and resurrection: after Jesus came to initiate a new way of life in the world, and before everything has been made right. Though we know sorrow and pain very well, sometimes we just don’t know what to do. In this zine you will find poetry, prayers, and a few practices — small steps toward expressing our grief, as we implore God to make all things new.
Print Edition: $5 (includes S/H)
A Mini Manual on Mending (2024)
The practice of mending has become for me a tangible way to express my care for the earth (as opposed to throwing garments away) and to reflect on the ways God is making all things new. I hope this zine will be a sufficient introduction for you, as you consider mending the beloved textiles in your life. (There are SO many more resources available, if you want to further your research.)
Print Edition: $5 (includes S/H)
Watch for more zines from Katie in the near future!
