Today’s culture offers a lot of gray area in terms of morality. Children’s literature, on the other hand, is often pretty clear-cut about good versus evil—something that can be rather inspirational. Characters in these stories may make decisions too quickly, but they also might embody virtues more whole-heartedly and more boldly than we do.
