We have a Substack called The Conversational Life, which we started about six months ago.
One of the perks for our paid Substack subscribers is a quarterly Zoom conversation with an author. I’m delighted to announce that we’ve scheduled the second of these conversations!
On Wednesday April 17, we will be hosting John Pattison and C. Christopher Smith (myself), authors of the award-winning book, Slow Church: Cultivating Community in the Patient Way of Jesus, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of its release this month. The conversation will start at 8pm ET (5pm PT). This conversation will be hosted by Rev. Katy Lines, co-pastor of Englewood Christian Church. Katy will interview John and Chris about the book and the journey it has taken over the last decade, but we plan to allow plenty of time for participants to interact with the authors.
The conversation will be recorded for paid subscribers who are not able to attend the online event.
This special event is for paid subscribers to this Substack only.
HOWEVER, we’ve taken some special steps to make it easier for you to subscribe!
- We’re offering a 20% discount on an annual subscription!
(Was $50, now $40, through April 18). CLICK HERE to use this discount. - Or, if you prefer, you can Subscribe for a Month ($5), and cancel your subscription after this event. (Think of it as a $5 cover charge.)
- Finally, if you use the Substack app, you should be able to get access to this event for FREE using your teaser post. (Assuming that you haven’t already, used your teaser post, claim it on the post on Monday April 15 that contains the Zoom link for this conversation.)
