This week marked the 70th anniversary of Gandhi’s assassination.

The Church has much to learn from Gandhi’s life and teachings. In remembrance, we offer this brief introductory reading guide for Christians.

We’ve ordered this list in the order that we think the books should be read, and we offer a brief explanation of why each book was included. We’ve included excerpts of most the books via Google Books.

4.  Gandhi and the Unspeakable: His Final Experiment with Truth
James Douglass

Douglass’s work is not only a stellar introduction to Gandhi’s ideas on nonviolence, it is also explores the circumstances around his assassination and what it might mean.
